 Mechanism and Stages of Labour

It has three stages.These stages are described as:

 

The first stage of labour it begins with regular rhythmiccontraction and is complete when the cervix is fully dilated.

 

The second stage is begins when the cervix is fully dilatedand is completed when the baby is completely born.

 

The third stage begins with the delivery of the baby and endswith delivery of placenta. It also involves the control of bleeding.
